The aim of Portraits of Service - 2012 is to photograph a selection of veterans living in the United States and Europe who have served in a war, regardless of their physical condition.

Robert H. Miller and Andrew Wakeford, both award-winning photographers, are combining their efforts to realize this project. They will work independently and together on both continents to capture compelling photographs of each participating veteran. We are targeting 100 veterans for this project, and we are hoping for a diverse group with greatly differing experiences and situations.

The images will be assembled into a traveling exhibit and published as a book of photographs in the second quarter of 2012.

Aims and Scope of our Book:

The Authors are seeking veterans from all nations and wars to participate in a new book.

We are looking for unique expressive mini-stories and a photographic portrait that best expresses the feeling of the veteran during his military career. When complete in first-quarter 2012, the authors will assemble the stories and images into a printed book, eBook and traveling photographic exhibition.
